Is it any easier if booked directly through Qatar's privilege club? I was going to book a reward ticket through the privilege club, but would need to add a lap infant and not sure if that can be done on points, if it would have to be a cash fare or what the options are. Anyone with insight?
Just choose to ticket via BA if you can, they still issue infant seats at a very reduced Avois level, and as long as you aren't going very far, it's the same adult price for avios. I never thought I'd say it, but the BA system appears far better for infants on avios.
