This above ^^^
Some points if you end up w/ a Telsa, it can be a gift on cost of gas, especially if diving a lot.
- As post above mentions a Telsa Supercharger can give you 200miles or so in 15-30mins depending on your batter %. Just google tesla supercharger or type it into the big screen navi map to find one. There are
plenty near Disney. Remember stick to "Tesla surcharger" vs. other chargers. Tesla Destination chargers are different breed.
- To charge just back in the car, go on the screen to Charging and open the charge port and stick in the plug w/ the nozzle. Once you do it is pretty easy. Other drivers are usually around and generally happy to help since they are waiting for their car to charge.
- I doubt car will be 100% charged...they usually ask not to take battery above 80%ish.
- Double check what % charge you need to return it. If offered a minimal $ amount to bring back below that %, say $20-$30, I'd take it and not hassle w/ charging before returning.
- As mentioned above, I say no to any other type of electric car besides Tesla due to it tacking too long to charge. 3rd bullet pointed mentioned in the post above.
A contrary view to
twitch76 above, renting a Tesla on a family vacation is a good idea if you are remotely thinking of buying one in the future for yourself. Gives you an opportunity to try it out.
