Observations About Refillable Toiletries Now That They Are In Effect

I've stayed at 15+ different properties across the spectrum of brands (H2 to WA) in the last quarter. Are there brand standards for the refillable toiletries?

  • So far, I've seen 5 different products... shampoo, conditioner, body soap, body lotion, and hand soap. At no property have I seen all 5 in-use at the same time.
  • A random rural Hampton Inn had 4 (no hand soap), and that was the most at any single property.
  • At a higher-end Curio property, one bottle was empty and there was an empty hanger on the wall. Obvious housekeeping oversight.
  • The Neutrogena bar soap is gone, as well. The new bar soap offering is smaller and breaks easily.
  • How do you say the name of the product? The bottle is labeled "Zero/0"... is that "Zero Percent", Zero over zero"?
  • The Home2 I'm at now only offers shampoo and body soap.... an obvious downgrade over the Neutrogena single-use product line which at least included conditioner.
  • Do housekeeping closets have these products in bulk and they refill the bottles? Or are empty bottles collected and returned to the OEM?
  • I may be in the minority, but the Aesop products at WA are a downgrade from the Convivo by Ferragamo.

I'm interested in feedback from others.
