I am renting a car out of SMF from Hertz, someone chunked up a piece of gravel and put a crack in the middle of the windshield.

I have my own insurance but only have Liabity and comprehensive, no CDW coverage. The rental car is paid by my Amex Platinum card, so it is covered by Amex Car Rental Loss and Damage Insurance.

Should I do file an incident report now, or just point it out when I return the car?

Which insurance will cover the damage?
