Stick to the info here from Satie, Scented, Offerendum, etc. They are Marrakech savants.

Speaking of, wrote up some reviews of MO and Royal Mansour. They are here:

Most fail to understand that Marrakech is a luxury hotel playground par excellence and service levels are quite incredible throughout. Add Moroccan culture to the mix and those stunning landscapes... I've been countless times but there's always something to explore and do. Especially seeing new hotels/palaces and their latest renovations. Also quite hard to drag yourself away from the villa/pavilion/suite...

Marrakechi people are very kind and warm by nature -- the real reason to return!

Regarding The Selman: Their pool and the day passes to it are quite popular with expats in Marrakech, also tons of influencers (which is why I tend to avoid it). Can be entertaining for an afternoon. The owner is a rather interesting type -- she's often seen on the premises, walking around with Cigar in hand. Quite the character. Think cannot be compared to La Mamounia at all.. an entirely different league and vibe. I find The Selman does not work for me, at all. But others may love it, especially the party crowd. Marrakech has lots of nightclubs as well.
Scented, that's good to know and also fascinating re: selman. And a perfect example of why you all are heroes here.

Naturally hard for me to judge party-saturation at any of these places as we experienced each of them during the sleepy season. I never would have pegged Selman to be particlarly rage-y. In my whole two hours there! During off-season!

Struck me as old-school slightly-faded but 'real' Marrakech glam ish.

Nobu, on the other hand, wowzers.
Can't imagine January there.
It's a truly beautiful reno project, but that roof pool provides ALL the city's 'music'.
