Bizarre thread. OP talks about wanting to see ‘value’ in business but then says £350 for the Hilton at Euston which is mediocre at best.

Either you want luxury and convenience, in which case you pay a fair price for it, or you want to go cheap. Your plan seems to be picking the worst of both.

Also, if you’ve really got £1000 to play with just to get from Manchester to Heathrow, why not just book QR or EK or CX or SQ etc from MAN one stop to SYD rather than bother with Heathrow at all?
