I'll be doing 6 days at Andaz with suite upgrade, then 4 days at IC Time Square, 6 days again at Andaz with Suite upgrade, then 2 days at Park Hyatt. Thanks for all the good advice. I'm going as a tourist/working online for the 2.5 weeks.
I follow exactly in your footsteps these days.Great choices!
Heavy on the Intercon TS here as its a third of the price of Andaz or most other Hyatts on points with both Chase IHG credit cards and still less on revenue
And since Hyatt shot itself in the foot with massive devaluations I've tripled my business with IHG.
There is a dedicated desk for Ambassadors and the ladies their are awesome taking care of any needs or extra amenities
Sometimes they offer free breakfast with no limits or if you are a Diamond or as a regular and if they don't
I love not getting the lower quality and variety happening at many hotels with my so called elite breakfast.
Being a free spirit allows you out the door for more special experiences and no one saying sorry toast and fruit aren't included
Andaz breakfast is a dark dreary dungeon/bat cave for breakfast some dedicated
kind charming servers but the food is hit or miss
in my own experience and the pancake will never be what it once was
I find their seating highly uncomfortable and I recommend getting a table in the back and not sitting at the communal tables
Miss the old restaurant "The Shop" it was truly special

RIP
That said The GM @ Andaz 5th is the best ever in the history of the hotel and thats reason to support the hotel
if price or point costs are of little or no concern. They are upgrade friendly @ present
