We missed The Pocket because we went to Fandango in Pacific Grove. Fandango is an older-school type European restaurant with all European entrees including creme brûlée. Very yummy and I’d return. I love paella - the neighbor also ordered it and then asked for it to be cooked for at least 15 more minutes because he wanted it very crispy. I’m less of a lover of super crispy rice. The neighbor’s request was immediately honored - some more modern places can’t honor specific customer requests if it goes against the chef’s principles.

ideally we will actually go to The Pocket on a future trip esp now that we see another strong endorsement for it.
