My wife dropped me off at the Sofitel a few months back and the door man gave her an exit ticket, but I was a guest at the hotel that night. He didn’t check if I was or wasn’t though.

I’m fairly sure that the hotel will be closing the loop for anyone to drop off, otherwise it would get inundated with similar drop offs.
