How are the rooms?
Very modern hotel, room was in good condition except that there was a lot of limescale around the taps

This is a very hard water area which made my shower uncomfortable, they should really fit some sort of water filter to the whole building, I have one in my house and it's amazing. But it might be very pricey for a hotel

Air con and wifi worked perfectly, very spacious except that the table in the living area is in an awkward position and you have to stumble between the sofa and chairs to get to it.

What was good and what was bad?
Good - upgrade
About 15 minute walk to Reading Green Park (new station), also served by bus 50 from the centre of Reading, 20 minute walk from Basingstoke Road where there are other buses when the 50 is not operating.

Bad - breakfast only starts at 0700 every day.
- When I got to breakfast and presented the diamond voucher, the guy was like "What's this?", then he spent ages looking at the list and could not find my room, I said I was diamond and he said "What's diamond?" Eventually another staff member came by and let me in.
- There were bits of egg shell in my fried egg.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Paid 16k points - would return at this price. Paid rate was around £80. IHG paid the hotel a surprisingly high £55 for my redemption.
