Yep, I've scored great rates (and upgrades) at the Confidante in September in year's past..

I am quite keen on the Confidante, wish they weren't' 'upscaling' it.. The location is pretty good for my needs -- the beach is decently quiet compared to SouthBeach, location is quick to get to/from the airport, direct beach access is lovely, and usually the service is pretty good (though, can be inconsistent). The Centric is in a busy area of t-shirt shops and bars, and might be better if that is more your thing.
