Dont worry, I booked LHR->SYD return ONLY! Ive had to get flights rebooked lots of times due to delays when travelling on a single reservation (PNR), it really saves a ton of dramas and I made sure The Mother knows that too and doesn't book a separate trip because of the problems above. Luggage will just be one suitcase so not a concern. If booking Economy there was still an extra (although lesser) charge of a couple of hundred pounds. I forget the exact amount but I found it strange because it normally (or at least used to) cost less to fly this route.

I just find it bizarre and somewhat funny that you could fly from LHR with an itinerary like this:

Outbound
Uber -> Stockport station: 20GBP
First Class Avanti -> London Euston : 150GBP (not ticketable yet)
Hilton London Euston (1 night): 350GBP
Uber -> Heathrow T3: 100GBP

Subtotal: 620GBP

Return
Black cab -> London Euston: 150GBP
First Class Avanti -> Stockport : 150GBP (not ticketable yet)
Black cab -> home: 30GBP

Subtotal: 330GBP

Grand total: 950


And save over 50GBP vs flying out of Manchester! I did put this to her but she just wants to get this trip over and done with for so at this point my question is does anyone know a reliable long distance taxi co in the Stockport/Manchester (and London) areas? My biggest concern is no-shows.
