Playing the devil's advocate, I'm not convinced it is such a bad choice. LH can double the price and quadruple the miles redemption compared to the existing product and Allegris F will still sell like hot cakes.
The product makes no sense to me, but neither do Louis Vuitton bags, Richard Mille watches or other Veblen goods. But they are all raking in the dough.
Why not go all the way, make the product as youtube ridiculous as possible, perhaps they could hire the next Salt Bae as in-flight chef?

Yes, they could do that but then you need the F&B & ground service to match like AF, charge AF prices & get thrown off into FRA labyrinth & wait around in FCT for service & mediocre food…..
Maybe the intern has a plan but it is not obvious
