Agreed that it's probably as simple as that. Even the issue of those passengers needing to reclear security is accounted for as they're already protected. Of course, how very inconvenient for them, but this is hardly different than a plane diverting due to an onboard medical issue.

That would be amazing! Would allow LGA-JFK to operate more seamlessly as a sum-is-greater-than-its-parts type of hub. I'd probably pay extra for this.
