on this page. I've never run into the child ticket issue. When they were young, we always bought our children adult tickets as the prices were the same and it made checking in / changing flights / splitting PNRs much easier.

Right before I posted, I figured out the limitation on lifetime miles when no flying UA
(b/c it mattered on the AC ticket purchased to go to LHR. Actually, for that case, the 2 kids' tickets were cheaper than adult tickets.)
If a knowledgeable person sees this: what should the PQP for a LH Y flight from LHR-MUC be (bought directly from LH)? Based on distance/5, it seems UA isn't giving enough PQP (they are awarding 89 PQP, but distance is 587 mi, so 117 PQP)
