We flew to Rijeka and got a taxi to the hotel so didn’t have a car. We ate at the property every day, the only exception was on the day we walked along the coastal walk to Volosko and had lunch there. The sea there is very swimmable because it’s in a large protected bay, so it is mostly very placid. The beach is pebbles, so a little tough for bare feet but the water is very clear and whilst not as warm as the Caribbean it was fine.
