You can’t be serious. You need to spend some hard cash to get silver with other airlines such as Lufthansa/Delta/BA and so on. On the other hand you can easily maintain your silver status with A3 for less than 1k. Good luck try to maintain silver with BA or Delta with just 2 return flights.
