Unless you are moving your entire house, how many hours of checks and custom do you expect at airports to think any other options than flying would be better? Then if you plan a road holiday that's another story, I drove from north Italy to Istanbul 35 years ago with my Fiat Uno, but I was young and flying was for rich people only...
