As everyone has noted above, if TN had actually cancelled your flight close to the day of departure then TN would have rebooked you.

If TN had cancelled your flight a few days/weeks before, then AA would have been more willing to help.

But until the flight actually gets cancelled, or a travel waiver is put in place, AA isn't going to offer anything.

All award tickets booked with AA miles are fully refundable, potential strike or not, so AA offering to cancel your flight for a refund isn't anything unique to this situation.

Also all award tickets booked with AA miles book into the prime flight numbers, not codeshares, but that doesn't have anything to do with anything here. AA's response would have been exactly the same had you booked a paid ticket or an award ticket.

In any event glad the strike looks to be averted.
