Best mode of transport to get to Europe from UK
I'm looking to go to Italy from London but unsure which is the best mode of transport avoiding all the ridiculous queues (I have a UK passport). In no particular order
- Coach via Eurotunnel - might be less queues than the ferry? Immigration might be quicker then an airport?
- Coach via ferry - could be nasty if there are 50 mile queues in Dover
- Eurostar standard class - St Pancras always had miles of queues into the Eurostar
- Eurostar Premier class - never seen a queue
- Low cost plane - hours of queuing through immigration/security
- BA Club World - hours of queuing through immigration/security but might have fast track at certain airports?
