Glad the strike has been settled, hopefully the planes will be where they need to be.
The lack of any AA responsibility from some EXP agents is pretty eye opening. Unlike many revenue tickets that will book a TN or AY (or whatever) as an AA ticket on 001 stock where AA clearly has teh responsibility, most award tickets do not books as teh codeshare. This was the case with TN this year and an AY partner busienss award last year. The idea of getting 57.5k miles back but potentially needing 400k miles for a substitute reservation seems absurd.
FWIW I ended up buying refundable business tickets on UA (for $5600 each) just as an ultra cuatious back up. Glad it looks like I wont need them!
