BTW. - you can check the somehow "official reason" for delays/compensation by using the flight status search on KLM.com or airfrance.com - usually for cancelled or delayed flights they show information like "due to operational reasons", "due to technical reasons" ...

Still there are a few flights where they don't display the reason
