I have been very lucky to avoid the even rows for years now. I got my first taste after a reroute due to mechanical in a last row middle section seat. IAH-FRA 12G, I think. It was awful. I dont know why but it felt so cramped. your "side table" is small almost behind you making it very awkward to deal with. I am 6'3" and I felt like I was in a coffin in the full flat position. couldn't move my legs, bend knees etc etc. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Expertflyer has paid for itself many many times over at this point by using seat alerts to ensure I haven't had to end up in an even seat but I couldn't avoid it in this case!
