That is helpful. TY!

Fwiw, i was finally able to speak to ATN today. They said IF the flight was canceled, it would be their responsibility to rebook me to Paris and they would try for business class depending on the other airlines availabilities for that day.

I called EXP desk again to double check and see what they thought. I was told, *if* an award booking on a partner airlines was canceled, I would get the miles back and then I could rebook a new flight on AA metal BUT at however many miles it would cost at the time. Ie 160k miles for biz class with a connection.

Will be interesting to see what actually happens with AA when/if this flights cancels. Seems much reps don't care to theorize what could happen without a cancelation in front of their face. Today's LAX-CDG flight took off 🤞.

I just booked two "if worst came to worst backup" award tickets for 35k miles on AA metal in Y. Can I really cancel that flight and have the miles redposited up until boarding? Doesn't seem like ATN will know about our original flight until Friday morning.
