I have booked to stay at a Fairmont later this summer. I booked the Virtuoso rate (i.e. free breakfast and $100 food and beverage credit) with a travel agent.

I emailed the hotel directly to confirm that I can indeed pay for the room rate with Accor points on check out and have just received a reply saying that the only way to pay with Accor points is to book directly with Accor. As far as I was aware, any pay on check out rate could be paid with points. Is anyone able to clarify this for me? I don’t want to show up at the hotel and end up not being able to.
