haha... you *are* aware that the animal lounge only serves food that's been provided by the 'passenger', right?
One needs to include a bag of food that's taped to the crate at check-in, if you don't do that doggie's going hungry during the layover. Only in exceptional cases like delays (missed connections necessitating longer stays and no paperwork to enter Germany so owners cannot retrieve their animal from LH's care) will they get something that LH paid for.
Lounges going BYO or charging extra - I would not estimate this beyond beancounter dreams at HQ, though...
