Thank you! This is helpful information. My plan is to take the MRT because I have only a limited amount of time in TPE, and would like to avoid getting stuck in traffic. Expedited immigration and security is exactly why I've been considering using the Huan Yu VIP Terminal.
The longest security queue I experienced at TPE in recent months was around 20 mins. I use the automatic gate, but I’ve never seen more than a couple dozens at the manual immigration queue. I would imagine at most 10 minutes for departure and 20 minutes for arrival.
Having to go from the VIP terminal to the main terminals kinda defeat the purpose. Depending on where in Taipei you plan to visit, I would spend the money hiring a car (saving 30+ minutes to central/eastern Taipei) instead of using the terminal. Unless there is a major long weekend, you can expect 35-50 minutes to downtown Taipei.
