Perhaps they weighed boarding passengers ( like they tried to do in Hong Kong a number of years back ) and decided you all collectively didn't need the extra carbs

Frankly, I am waiting for the announcement that all passenger’s weight will be estimated by a fast body scan while boarding to allow for final fuel adjustments or that they will store your weight in your facial recognition profile.
