Operational errors happen, but I'd like to share an example of great service from BA on the Kosher meal front. On a recent flight between LHR and NCE I asked for Kosher food in the lounge and it arrived very quickly. On the flight, the kosher meal I ordered arrived. It was plain awful. Everything (including the chicken was sweet; It included breakfast pastries for 'bread'). Really poor quality. The cabin crew were just wonderful and helped me assemble a meal from their normal menu. I realise this might not work for everyone as I am happy to eat unwrapped food.
On the specifics, I would also raise a complaint because it's an advertised service that wasn't provided.
