It was interesting that after flying LO285 WAW-LHR last night, LOT decided to cancel the morning flight in order to operate a Gov charter flying LHR-BRU as LO7373 then to VNO as LO7374 before operating a supplementary commercial service VNO-WAW as LO1772 with a few token pax.
Though cancelling one flight is nothing compared to the LT's cancelling 100 flights in VNO because the airport is too close to the venue for "security reasons". It's shut from noon tomorrow until 4PM on Wed. Probably one of the reasons why such places tend not to be good choices for these events if you have to close your main airport? Though, I am sure the LT's were happy to bend over backwards to host for the cash it will bring.
Pity for those thousands of travellers though.
"Not to operate" is BArb speak for a cancelled flight

.
Fascinating, that it made commercial sense to cancel your Monday AM night-stop LHR-WAW to operate a VIP charter (for a few pax) LHR-BRU empty, BRU-VNO, then VNO-WAW with a few pax. Couldn't it have all been done with an E75?
There's quite a lot info about the low-load on the LO286 and that's good proof of it, I see Embraer's have made their way back to LHR as well, first time since the pandemic.
Meanwhile. SP-LSF has gone tech and as a result they missed the NRT night ban, but for some reason LOT don't want to put their pax in a hotel so this guy says 100 are sleeping on the floor... the flight shows as delayed to 13:30 12JUL.
Are the crew also sleeping on the floor?
