One thing I feel like I have learned from using the BRG system with Marriott is that it is consistently inconsistent. I made one successful BRG to one hotel where they had to compare the entire length of my stay in a city as I have bookings in different hotels. That's fine and they approved the BRG with the price found and beat it.

With that, I decided to just make a booking at that hotel for the entire duration and submit another BRG. Now they've given me about 3 different reasons to reject it being unable to find the rate, unable to get to the credit card screen, and the rate is now higher than the Marriott rate. None of these are true as the comparison rate hasn't changed at all.
