If you have a choice go ex-LHR. The food/drink but in particular the service/rude staff are now so bad ex-LGW in CE as to make it quiet unpleasant.
Of course you are entitled to your view but I don't believe it is fair to suggest the situation is always as unpleasant as you suggest. I expect most passengers have a reasonable to good experience ,whilst acknowledging
that at times service is not as good as it should be. However, I am sure the same could be said of Heathrow flights.
