I was just in Peru and wanted to add three things -
1. The ATMs in the baggage claim area are indeed affiliated with a bank (believe Interbank is correct). Something like $6 flat transaction fee.
2. My hotel (Marriott in Miraflores) arranged transfers with Trip. They have a desk right outside the baggage claim / customs door. Very easy, responsive to emails, and punctual. Both cars newish Lexus. I'm happy to send contact details if anyone wants it.
3. This thread isn't for connecting in LIM, but I did that on the way back and ... wow, what a mess. 40 mins to get bag from LA domestic flight. No transfer desk - had to go outside and re-enter at the main check-in area. UA retagged my bag (2 bag tag numbers on my ticket). Exit immigration line fairly long. US-bound departure security was chaos. Everything made it, but very stressful for what should have been an easy connection. I recommend minimum 3h.
