Naturally the main concern is that they're able to even check in if I'm not there. Hyatt.com won't allow me to either change the name of the primary guest or to add an additional guest name when I'm logged in. Other hotel chains allow me to add additional guest names per room to allow them to check in. Is this a feature not a bug, and Hyatt deliberately doesn't allow "additional guest" names to be included at booking? Should I just book them without being logged in and use only their names?
you can add additional guests here:
Welcome to Hyatt E-Concierge
But honestly, I see no reason why you should book, if you don't care about the benefits and tier credit.

just book in their name or have them book themselves
