Yes, yes I do. I book trip for friends and family too with no hopes of reimbursement, no joke.
Also, there’s not “no hope”. I would calculate the going rate for points (favorably to OP) then charge per point for the reimbursement. You can even send a receipt they can check the going rate for points being sold by Hyatt.
Otherwise why post here why not have wife sign up for WOH book both rooms under her name and be done with it? OP says they are not expecting any credit anyways.
