I thought I read where having that checked, while also being waitlisted, caused issues with appearing on the upgrade list or appearing in the right order on the list once check-in has commenced? Does it matter that I am both waitlisted with an RUC as well as have the Requested Upgrade box checked?
For what it's worth I do see the extra seatmap and the "Upgrade Status:Upgrade Waitlisted" notation so I am currently trusting that the RUC was applied correctly.

I very recently had a LAX-JFK waitlisted for D1 with the medallion comp upgrade also selected. Upgrade cleared since I could no longer view the seatmap or select a seat. Uses messaging service to get it processed/reticketed (ugh). Recommend calling in instead - messaging took multiple agents passing me around and over an hour.
But, the main point is that I've never had an issue with clearing an upgrade cert with the medallion upgrade also requested.
