So, I'm traveling as a party of two and will likely have a carry-on and personal item for both individuals. I'm thinking of pre-paying for one checked bag on way back only (75 EUR fee). If I'm slightly over weight limit on a couple of bags at LIS, can I then just stuff one of them to be largely over (but under the checked bag weight limit)? That seems to likely be my best approach....I assume if you're over at all they make you check it and you can't carry it on? (Even if dimensions are okay/it fits, but it's over the weight limit).
