New Centurion vs. Sky Club (2023)

Didn’t see a thread discussing the current and improved Centurion Lounge at SEA vs. the existing Sky Club. In any case, a bad DL schedule change and flight delay has left me with a seven hour layover in SEA. I was going to have dinner with a local FTer but they ended up traveling and I didn’t want to deal with TSA again and drag my carryon more than needed.

I went to the Centurion Lounge first, arriving around 1445 and stayed until 1900. When I got there, the lounge was about 90% full, but I was able to snag one of the duo tables next to the window. The pluses were the view of the ramp and runways (16L is really close), 80 mbps wifi speed, and the food and beverage options. The biggest minus were the number of families with very young children who were doing what cranky children often do. It got less and less crowded as the day progressed and when I left, it was about 50% full.

The Sky Club is also about half full at this time and is much more quiet. The soda machine is busted, which is annoying and the hot entrees at the buffet, while good, aren’t as tasty as the CL. The Wi-Fi is even faster at over 100 mbps.

I’m pretty happy to be chilling here before heading over to the South Satellite
