So here's the resolution. They offered me 15,000 points which I declined. I don't care much about free stuff. They kindly moved me to the next category suite instead. This suite is beautiful and clearly recently renovated.

I'm happy again. And again, they delivered an excellent breakfast.

Basically, if you stay here, you can't get a small room or a room on lower floors. You need to get a platinum suite and above and ensure it is on high floors for sound and not falling apart.

There clearly are risks of staying here. The sound proofing and a falling apart room.

But the senior execs resolved the situation and acted in good faith so I'm happy again. I would stay here again but would email them in advance to ensure I get a high floor etx. 2nd floor is a nightmare.
