A few months ago, LH again mishandled checked luggage of mine and UA again handled the claim as last leg carrier for LH’s bag tag. UA sent me a check for 100% of the clothes and other items for which I supplied receipts. The amount was more than $700 but less than the SDR limit. They didn’t want to reimburse the documented costs to go shopping, but they did cover the costs of the goods purchased.
