My guess is that Choice will recategorize such Radisson properties using the current or new (worse) Choice program categories and thereafter the value got at that hotel on pointsavers — or even on non-point savers — will be worse to much worse when it comes to pricing in Choice points.

When Choice has added new Nordic Choice/Strawberry properties for redemption using US Choice points, the inflation of price in points hit and hit hard with new property additions in recent years. The mindset that delivered that is probably still in Choice Privileges’ corporate DNA.
