We have a flight on Eva from Terminal 1 in early August. I had pre-booked parking at the Federal City lot but just noticed that the AirTrain station is closed at T1. Looking around, it's unclear how long the T1 station will be closed since I see some verbiage that it would open late in 2022, but it still seem at an "extended closure." Any idea how long the T1 AirTrain station will remained closed?

If it does remain closed, it seems that my original parking plans would be quite painful (Federal City lot to T8 via AirTrain then to T1 vis shuttle). I am considering two other options now:
1. Off-site parking (SmartPark or JFK Long Term Parking, any preference?). One shuttle from parking to T1, but definitely reviews with pickup problems/delays when returning. Also cheaper.
2. T8 parking. Would use the airport's shuttle to get to T1. Any experience with the shuttle? Is the convenience for T8 (Red parking) compared to off-site parking worth the extra cost? It's actually "only" 50% more when pre-booked.
