You say "ticket online" which isn't what I was expecting - normally one would get an email from BA which is an e-ticket? If you search for "e-ticket" in your inbox, BA tends to add the hyphen whereas other airlines use the word "eticket". But it seems you are not on a codeshare.
In India bags get cleared by customs at the first port, so DEL here, so regardless you will be getting your bags back in DEL. Because you are having a stopover in DEL then you will take the bags away from the airport and then return with them.
