The less time there is to a flight departure, the higher the price will be. The "cheaper" fare buckets have advance purchase restrictions; with less than 48 hours to go, you are only going to be able to buy from the most expensive farebuckets on offer on any route.



Nobody would.

They would either book a one-way on easyJet, or buy a return with no intention of flying the return portion (though booking it on a date that they may be able to actually use)
At least they'd learn lots of miles....and I don't know if the 737eur price is set by a published fare or continuous pricing, but if it's the former there's some humor in the fares department =)
