Hey folks. EXP here and my sis was going to meet us in Chicago routed SNA-ORD (AA2590 7/9/23)


Today’s SNA-ORD has taken more than 24 hours of delays (!)

We’ve all been there, stuff happens, etc….

BUT this is not some remote outstation. They have mechanics, parts, pilots, spare planes etc at both LAX and PHX.

I read and sympathize about reports to and from far-flung destinations where maybe the ability to recover is limited.

This is Southern California. A mechanic with parts could have been on the 405 a day ago. Or a spare frame from LAX or PHX, both have crew bases.

It’s hard to recruit new AA flyers when this is their experience
