I thought we were talking about a QR code that the hotel in Hangzhou will provide italdesign friend so she can pay. It's impossible to know for certain what type of QR code it will use, but I was guessing that it generates dynamic codes for each customer that are tied to their reservations. Maybe I'm being dense, but I don't understand how the code you are describing would function wrt this (prepaid hotel room) use case.
