Normally I'm pretty comfortable booking trips but there are a few destinations I'm not quite comfortable traveling/booking/planning- mainly Africa and the Middle East (Egypt, Israel, Jordan). Next year I'd definitely like to do either an African safari for the wildebeest migration or a tour of Egypt and Jordan. So I've relegated myself to the fact that a tour company would be my best option however I'm sort of stuck trying to find one that fits me. I'm looking for a company that has excellent itineraries, stays in upscale hotels (Four Seasons, St. Regis, etc), isn't going to take me to a bunch of souvenir shops that provide them a kickback, and is limited to 20 people or so.

The two that seem closest to what I'm after are Abercrombie and Kent or Tauck but reading reviews it seems that many (most?) travelers that are pick these two groups are 50+. I don't need to be with a BUNCH of people my age but I'd certainly appreciate having some fellow travelers that are close in age to me (I'm 32). Does what I'm looking for exist or am I a unicorn?

Does anyone have any tour company suggestions to look into? I appreciate the feedback!
