I have had a schedule change and want to get an idea of what to expect before I call back.

I was flying LHR-LAX-LAS and the evening flight to Vegas has ben cancelled. A a result I have been booked on an earlier flightfrom LHR and have a connection of under 2 hours in LAX which I am not comfortable with - the info on the wiki says that MCT should be 2 hours but maybe that is out of date. This is also putting me on the last flight of the day at 4,40pm so no cushion if flight is missed. The actual schedule change is over 4 hours which I know is a magic number getting me in to Vegas at at 5.57pm instead of 10.04pm.

I am One World Sapphire but it is a Basic Economy Ticket so my questions are:

Does the 4 hour schedule change trigger a refund or is it only a 4 hour arrival delay? This would be ideal as I can get AA flights that work for me €80 cheaper if I buy them today?

If that isn't possible will they allow me eithe take the AA/BA codeshare direct to Las Vegas or if not would they let me change to a LHR-DFW/ORD-LAS connection both of which are 3-4 hours transfer time and have a later fight to LAS if needed. Both these options are much closer to my original flight times?
How much notice were you given? If less than 14 days you do get compensation. They actually have to notify you.
