So, I had a trip credit to use up for a previously cancelled flight, as well as some AA gift cards. I put my reservation on hold, and then apparently had to call in to apply the trip credit to the reservation. The agent is now having trouble applying the gift card for the additional balance due and is trying to claim that a trip credit and a gift card cannot be used on the same reservation - I see no mention of this anywhere, is this true? If you apply a trip credit to a portion of a reservation, you cannot use a gift card as an additional form of payment towards that reservation?
