Swiss promises free and unlimited e-journals in their Swiss Lounges. For example in Zurich you can login on their Wifi and a home page pops up from where you can access
When I tried this recently in a Swiss Lounge in ZRH on my tablet, I got a code for free Wifi access by scanning my boarding pass at the entrance. However connecting to the network ZurichAirport, I got to the common airport webpage (where all other passengers can get free wifi by entering a mob phone number or BP number of course without access to e-journals) and not to the lounge home page. I try to eliminate cache, tried to erase data from former access to the webpage, restarted the tablet...but still I got to the common airport webpage.
I asked the lounge attendant at the entrance for help. She had no clue, but made a couple of phone calls and came back with the advise to eliminate cache, erase data of former access, restart.... after a while I got the phone myself and talk to the person at the hotline....same advises again....than finally the lady at the hotline told me, that she will come and help....after 5 minutes 2 persons showed up and tried to help....same approaches again
After another 15 minutes (my flight was delayed so I did not mind...) the conclusion was that their system works properly (one staff showed me on two different smart phones that he could access....) and the problem was my tablet....my reply that if they had a different network for their lounges, such problems would not occur, was turned down with cost concerns and they claimed, that this problem never occurs and is limited to MY tablet....
I answered that at least they confirm the policy of Swiss, that whenever a problem occurs, the customer is at fault....
anybody else had this issue and found a workaround?
